કરી શકો છો?

દર્દને દીલથી ક્યાં અળગું કરી શકો છો,
અશ્રુઓ માછલીનાં ક્યારે લુછી શકો છો?

જુદા કરી શકો છો કાંટાને ફૂલથી પણ,
ફોરમને ફૂલથી ક્યાં જુદી કરી શકો છો?

જુદા ભલેને પાડો વ્રુક્ષોનાં નામ અહીંયા,
છાયાનું નામકરણ ક્યારે કરી શકો છો?

લહેરાય રણમાં એવું કે હાલ પી શકો છો,
મૃગજળને જામ માંહી ક્યારે ભરી શકો છો?

જીવનની સાંજે પણ વિસ્તરી જવાનું,
પડછાયો નિજનો સાંજે મોટો કરી શકો છો?

My Mother kept a garden

My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...

And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough-
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong-
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.

I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me

When you have a mother

When you have a mother
who cares so much for you
that anything you want
becomes her desires
When you have a mother
who is so understanding that
no matter what is bothering you
she can make you smile
When you have a mother
who is so strong that
no matter what obstacles she faces
she is always confident in front of you
When you have a mother
who actively pursues her goals in life
but includes you in all her goals
you are very lucky indeed
Having a mother like this
makes it easy to grow up
into a loving, strong adult
